In 2001, Metronik implemented its MePIS manufacturing production information system at Trimo for the production line of light construction panels. In 2003 the system has been enhanced and expanded to production line 2. In 2007, the Manufacturing information system has been upgraded and completely integrated with the SAP and APS systems. MePIS provides the production management with the overview of the complete production process, a complete control over material flow and the quality of final products, monitoring downtimes and managing production efficiency. MePIS performs automatic acquisition of process data which is after being processed forwarded to the SAP and APS systems. At the production site 10 Proficy iFix clients, Proficy Historian and a tool for downtime monitoring Proficy Plant Application (GE Intelligent Platforms) are installed.
